Fastriq is designed to be privacy-first. We do not require an account to use the basic features. Your fasting data is stored locally on your device. We use specific health-related permissions and background services only to provide real-time tracking that is visible to you at all times.

2. Information We Collect

• Fasting & Health Data — We track your fasting start/end times, fast duration, and weight logs. This data is stored locally on your device.
• Foreground Service Data — While a fast is active, the app uses a foreground service to maintain an accurate timer. This is necessary for the persistent notification you see in your tray.
• Device & Technical Data — Device model, OS version, and basic diagnostics (crash logs via Firebase) to ensure the app runs smoothly on your specific device.
• Advertising Identifiers — If ads are enabled, identifiers like Google Advertising ID (GAID) may be used by third-party SDKs for ad delivery.

3. Foreground Service & Health Data Usage

To provide a reliable fasting experience, Fastriq runs a "Health" category foreground service. This service is active only when you have a fast in progress. Its sole purpose is to:

• Keep the fasting timer accurate even when the app is in the background.
• Display a persistent, user-noticeable notification with a live countdown.

This service starts when you tap "Start Fast" and stops immediately when the fast ends or is cancelled by you.

4. Third‑Party Services

The App uses the following services to function:

• Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — To help us fix bugs and understand app performance.
• Google AdMob — To display advertisements (if applicable).
• Google Play Services — For core Android integration and health-related API stability.

5. Permissions

• FOREGROUND_SERVICE_HEALTH — To track your fasting progress and show the live timer notification.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To send you reminders when your fasting or eating window begins.
• INTERNET — To provide app updates and load ad content.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your fasting history remains on your device until you delete the App or clear its cache. Since we do not use a centralized login for basic tracking, we do not store your personal fasting logs on our servers.

To request data removal: Simply uninstall the app or use the "Clear Data" option in your device settings to wipe all local fasting history.
